Daisuke Yui, born October 17 in Saitama Prefecture, is a Japanese manga artist and original creator. His blood type is O. His career includes work as an assistant to manga artist Yuna Kagesaki.
Yui is best known as the original creator of Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan, a manga series that was adapted into a thirteen-episode anime television series that aired in October 2015. The story centers on Hakone, a hot spring spirit who takes the form of a young girl and interacts with locals in the Hakone area.
His other notable manga works include Perowan! (2012), Yumizuka Iroha wa Tejun ga Daiji! (2017), Ohisama Birdie (2020), and Watashi yori Tsuyoi Otoko to Kekkon shitai no (2022), for which he served as the illustrator. He has also contributed to various anthology comics, including those for the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise.
