Suzuka

Description
Suzuka is a Japanese voice actor and performer, known for her debut role in the original anime feature film Labyrinth. She is a member of the Japanese dance and vocal unit Atarashii Gakko!. Her role as the protagonist Shiori Maezawa in Labyrinth marks her first experience in voice acting for an animated film.

In Labyrinth, directed by Shoji Kawamori, Suzuka performs two roles: the ordinary high school girl Shiori Maezawa and her digital alter ego, SHIORI, whom Shiori encounters after being trapped inside her smartphone. This dual role required her to portray both the protagonist and a more provocative counterpart. Her work on the film provided her with a new creative stimulus, as she explored the different aspects of the characters within her own voice. Director Shoji Kawamori praised her performance, noting her individuality and powerful stage presence were a strong match for the character SHIORI, and he was moved by her commitment to the conflicting nature of playing two roles.

As a member of Atarashii Gakko!, Suzuka also performs the film's theme song, Sailor, Sail On. Her casting in Labyrinth represents a significant career milestone, transitioning from musical performance to voice acting in a major animated production. There are no other documented voice acting roles for Suzuka in animation prior to this feature film.
