Ippei Nara

Description
Ippei Nara is a Japanese manga artist and writer known for creating original manga series that have also served as the basis for anime adaptations. Credited under the name 奈良一平, Nara’s professional work focuses primarily on the dual role of story and art for serialized publications.

Nara’s most recognized work is the series 29-Sai Dokushin Chūken Bōkensha no Nichijō. This manga began serialization in 2016 and has since become a long-running title, with its collected volumes extending beyond twenty. The series is the original property on which the anime of the same name is based, establishing Nara’s role as the original creator behind that adaptation.

Before this work, Nara authored and illustrated another series titled Neko-ane. Serialized from 2010 to 2013, this earlier manga was collected into six volumes. Across both titles, Nara’s credited role is consistent as the sole creator responsible for both the story and the artwork, positioning Nara as a distinct authorial voice in the manga medium.
