Matthew Masaru Barron is an American-born entertainer and voice actor based in Japan. He was born in Seattle, Washington, on October 28, 1981, and is known in Japan by the name マシューまさるバロン. Barron moved to Japan in 2000 and has since built a career as a versatile talent, working as a narrator, voice actor, moderator, translator, and lyric adviser. He is bilingual, a trait stemming from his American father and Japanese mother, which allows him to work across both languages and cultures.

His voice acting career in anime includes a range of roles in various series. He is credited with the role of Shota's Father in the educational anime series Little Charo and its sequel, Little Charo 2.
