Kieran Culkin

Description
Kieran Culkin is an American actor whose career began in childhood and has since expanded to include a significant body of voice work in animated series and films. While he is widely recognized for his live-action roles in productions such as the television series Succession and the film Igby Goes Down, his voice acting has become a notable part of his diverse portfolio.

A key moment in Culkin's voice acting career came with his involvement in the Scott Pilgrim franchise. He originally portrayed the character Wallace Wells in the 2010 live-action film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In 2023, he, along with much of the original cast, reprised his role as Wallace Wells for the Netflix anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. This marked a significant transition of a live-action role into the anime medium, with Culkin providing the voice for the animated version of his character.

Beyond this high-profile project, Culkin has voiced a variety of characters across different animated series. His voice credits from the early 2020s include roles in several adult animated shows. He voiced the character Glen in the Hulu series Solar Opposites starting in 2022. That same year, he contributed his voice to the animated anthology series The Boys Presents: Diabolical. In 2023, he voiced Gabriel Wolf in the Netflix series Agent Elvis.

Culkin's voice work also includes a unique family collaboration. In the 2024 Prime Video adult animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy, he voiced the character Dr. Plowp. Notably, he suggested that his four brothers—Macaulay, Rory, Christian, and Shane Culkin—also be cast to voice the siblings of his character, marking the first time all five brothers worked together on a project.

His career in animation extends to upcoming projects. Culkin is set to voice the pig Squealer in Andy Serkis's animated film adaptation of George Orwell's Animal Farm. This role adds to his growing list of credits in high-profile animated productions. Earlier in his career, he also had voice roles, such as providing a voice for an episode of the animated series Robot Chicken in 2005 and voicing a character in Long Live the Royals in 2015.

Throughout his career, Culkin has received numerous accolades for his live-action performances, including an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. While his voice acting work has not been singled out for major awards in the same way, his involvement in successful and critically acclaimed animated projects demonstrates a consistent and evolving presence in the field of voice performance.
