EDA is the original creator behind the Cooking with Wild Game franchise. The person began serializing the story as a free-to-read web novel in 2014 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Following its online success, the series was acquired by Hobby Japan, who published the first volume of the light novel in print in October 2015 under their HJ Novels imprint. For this light novel edition, the illustrations were provided by artist Kochimo. EDA is credited as the sole writer for the light novel series.

The property was subsequently adapted into a manga. The manga series is also credited to EDA as the original writer, with Kochimo again handling the illustration duties. The manga began serialization online via Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website in 2018. Both the light novel and the manga adaptations have been licensed for English publication in North America.
