Fumitaka Senga

Description
Fumitaka Senga is a manga creator known for writing the series Gesellschaft Blume, a dark fantasy story that was serialized under the Japanese title Yakushoku Distopiary. Senga is credited as the original author and story writer for the work, with the artist Tellmin' providing the illustrations.

The series began as a web manga created by Senga, which launched in February 2013. A remake of this original web comic began serialization in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in August 2014, with art by Tellmin'. This serialized version ran until September 2016 and was collected into five compiled volumes.

Gesellschaft Blume is set in a fantasy world that incorporates RPG-style elements such as levels, experience points, and damage values. In this world, a person's societal role, referred to as their "Post," is predetermined from birth. The narrative follows Torza, a young man with the powerful Post of a Slayer (or Subjugator), who embarks on a journey to gather companions with the goal of defeating the twenty-third incarnation of the Demon King. The series explores a central irony: the Slayer class possesses a special ability that makes them stronger each time a companion dies, a dark truth that lies beneath the heroic stories associated with their role.

The work has been released internationally. The English-language version was published digitally by Yen Press beginning in June 2017 under the title Gesellschaft Blume. A French edition was released by Pika Édition under the title Distopiary. The series is complete, with its fifth and final volume concluding the story.
