Tōko Amekawa is a Japanese female light novelist and the original creator behind several manga and anime series, recognized primarily for her work in the villainess and reincarnation romance subgenres. Her professional identity is centered on writing, and she has stated that she loves creating stories about heroes who possess great talent but fail in life, and the heroines who disrupt and unsettle them.

Amekawa's most prominent work is the series 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!. The series has achieved commercial success, with 1.8 million copies in circulation by October 2024, and won first place in both the General and Web-Originated Album divisions at the 2021 Next Light Novel Awards.

Another major work by Amekawa is Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim, which has also been announced for an anime adaptation, marking her second series to receive one. This series features a heroine who is reincarnated into the world of an otome game with a mafia setting and is designed to confront a hero who is a genuine villain. In describing her creative process, Amekawa has explained that she typically develops the hero character first, then creates a heroine capable of standing up to him.
