Her career spans several decades, with her earliest credits in anime localization dating back to the 1990s. Strader has often been credited under the name Jenny Strader in earlier productions.

Strader's body of work primarily consists of voice roles for characters in a variety of anime titles. One of her most prominent and enduring roles is Megumi Reinard, which she voiced in both the 1996 television series Martian Successor Nadesico and its 1998 film sequel, Martian Successor Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness.
