Azusa Aoi

Description
Azusa Aoi is a Japanese voice actress from Osaka Prefecture, born on December 31, 1999. She is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production. Her interest in the voice acting profession was sparked in her childhood by the anime Magical Circle Guru Guru, which inspired her desire to become a performer. To pursue this goal, she trained at a voice acting school in Osaka for four years before graduating from the 21st class of School Duo and joining Ken Production in April 2021.

Aoi's professional debut came in the early 2020s, with early roles including minor characters in series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Dead Mount Death Play, and Doraemon. Her first major breakthrough role arrived in 2024 when she was cast as Nana Hiratsuka, a main character in the mixed-media project and anime television series Rinkai!, which is centered on women's keirin cycling. This role was notable not only as her first lead role obtained through an audition but also because her father, Tsukasa Tada, is a former professional cyclist. His expertise provided her with unique insight into the competitive cycling world, which she was able to draw upon for her performance.

Following her work on Rinkai!, Aoi was cast in another leading role in the original anime television series Princession Orchestra. In this project, she voices the character Minamo Sorano, who transforms into the heroine Princess Ripple. Her involvement with the series extends beyond voice acting, as she is also a member of the musical unit Orcheria, formed with her co-stars Yuri Fujimoto and Azusa Tachibana, which performs the anime's opening theme song.

Beyond these prominent roles, Aoi has built a portfolio of work across various media. Her credits include voice roles in the anime adaptations of Medalist and Senpai is Otokonoko, as well as in video games like Alice Fiction and Kemono Friends 3. She is also involved in music projects related to her anime roles, contributing to character songs and theme performances. Early in her career, her achievement of securing a lead role in Rinkai! and subsequent involvement in major projects like Princession Orchestra mark her as a rising talent in the voice acting industry.
