ano

Description
ano is a Japanese singer and voice actor who made her debut as a lead anime voice actor in 2024. Prior to this role, she was already known to anime fans for her music career, having performed the sixth ending theme song for the series Chainsaw Man and the ending theme for Tiger and Bunny Season 2.

Her first major voice acting role was cast as Ouran "Ontan" Nakagawa, one of the two protagonists in the two-part anime film adaptation of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction. In this science fiction story, Ontan is an eccentric and imaginative high school student who is an avid gamer and the longtime best friend of the other main character, Kadode Koyama. The role was particularly significant as it marked ano's first time working as a voice actor in a leading capacity. In an official comment about her casting, ano shared that the original manga author, Inio Asano, encouraged her to portray the character naturally, advising her to express Ontan as she envisioned her.

Following her debut, ano has continued to take on voice acting roles in both animation and live-action adaptations. She voices the character Memcho in the live-action film Oshi no Ko -The Final Act- and its accompanying television series. Her other acting credits include roles in the live-action drama Geeks: Weirdos at the Police Station and the film Honeko Akabane's Bodyguards.
