Yashiro is the credited author of the light novel series Shiro Buta Kizoku desu ga Zense no Kioku ga Haeta node Hiyoko na Otōto Sodatemasu, which is also known in English as Reincarnated as a Neglected Noble: Raising My Baby Brother With Memories From My Past Life. The series began as a web novel serialized on the user-generated platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō on August 28, 2018. Its popularity on the site led to its acquisition by the publisher TO Books, which started releasing the story as a print light novel on January 10, 2020, with illustrations provided by the artist keepout. As of January 2025, thirteen volumes of the light novel have been published under TO Books' TO Bunko imprint.

The commercial success of Yashiro's original light novel has resulted in multiple media adaptations. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yokowake, began serialization on TO Books' Comic Corona service on August 31, 2020, and has been collected into six tankōbon volumes. The series has also been adapted into two stage plays, the first held in March 2021 and the second in October 2023. A drama CD was released in July 2024. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Comet is scheduled to premiere in July 2025. The series won the 7th Net Novel Grand Prize.
