Ao Tajima is the original creator behind the manga and anime series Hotel Inhumans. Tajima is the sole author and illustrator of the Hotel Inhumans manga, which began serialization in June 2021 in Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry online magazine and concluded in August 2025. The complete series was compiled into twelve tankōbon volumes, with the final volume released in September 2025.

The original work received recommendations from established industry figures, including manga artist Rei Hiroe, known for Black Lagoon, and novelist Kotaro Isaka.

An anime adaptation of Hotel Inhumans was announced in November 2024. The first season of the television anime, produced by the studio Bridge, aired from July to September 2025. A second season was confirmed and is scheduled to premiere in October 2026. Tajima was credited as the original creator for the anime adaptation.
