His career is notable for its diversity, encompassing roles on stage, in front of the camera, and in the dubbing studio, all underpinned by a background as a champion diver, an experience he has described as instilling a philosophy of discipline and presence that he carried into his artistic life.

In the realm of voice acting, Ribaudo is best known for lending his voice to iconic characters in animated series that were popular in Italy during the 1980s. He is most prominently recognized as the voice of Akira Kogane, the protagonist pilot of the Black Lion, in the beloved anime series Beast King GoLion, which first aired in Italy in 1982. This role remains a defining part of his voice acting legacy. He also contributed to another major robot anime of the era, Voltes V, providing the voice of the narrator for a portion of the series' Italian broadcast. His voice work extended to other anime such as Daikengo, the Guardian of Space, where he voiced the character Ryger, and Che Campioni Holly e Benji!!, in which he voiced Gabriel Gamo.

Beyond anime, Ribaudo's voice can be heard in some of the most famous Western animated series dubbed in Italy. He was the first Italian voice of Telespalla Bob, known in English as Sideshow Bob, in the long-running series The Simpsons. His repertoire also included voicing the iconic Looney Tunes character Yosemite Sam. His work in dubbing also featured roles in series like Santo Bugito and La spada di King Arthur.

Ribaudo's professional life has been characterized by a multifaceted engagement with the performing arts. His career has seen him act alongside prominent figures of Italian cinema and theatre, such as Enrico Maria Salerno, Gigi Proietti, and Nino Manfredi, and he has also taken on the role of director for both theatrical productions and television. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Ribaudo has been actively involved in representing his peers in the entertainment industry. In 2021, he was the lead candidate for the list "La Squadra per l'Audiovisivo" in the elections for the assembly of the Nuovo IMAIE, an institute that manages rights and provides support for Italian performers, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to the welfare and recognition of actors and artists.
