Yurie Igoma

Description
Yurie Igoma is a Japanese voice actress, born on February 24, 1999, in Tochigi Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce and began her career in 2021. Her interest in acting was sparked during elementary school after watching a school play, and her passion for Disney works, cultivated through family trips to Tokyo Disneyland, further inspired her to pursue a career in performance. She enrolled in a vocational school to achieve this goal, funding her own tuition through part-time work, and joined 81 Produce following an on-campus audition.

Igoma's first and most prominent leading role came in 2023 when she was cast as Ruby Hoshino in the television anime series Oshi no Ko. This was the first anime for which she ever auditioned, and she was a fan of the original manga. Her performance was so well-received that the manga's author, Aka Akasaka, remarked that "the real Ruby had arrived" during the audition process. In addition to voicing the character, she performs songs as part of the in-series idol group B-Komachi. Her filmography also includes roles in anime such as Duel Masters, Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san, and various other series, along with voice work for video games like Monster Strike and The Idolmaster Shiny Colors.

Beyond anime, Igoma has expanded her activities in the entertainment industry. In April 2023, she began hosting a weekly radio show, A&G NEXT STEP HOOOOPE!, on the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting network. For her impactful debut performance in Oshi no Ko and her emerging career, she was one of the recipients of the Best New Actor Award at the 18th Seiyu Awards in March 2024.
