The creator known as Hey is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, and production staff member born on April 13, 1989. Hey is also known by the aliases Hei and H3Y. Beyond original manga creation, Hey has worked in the anime industry as a key animator and second key animator on productions including Encouragement of the Climb.

Hey is the author and illustrator of the yuri manga series Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana. The series has been serialized on Akita Shoten's Champion Cross web service since March 19, 2019. As of March 2025, six tankōbon volumes have been released under Akita Shoten's Young Champion Comics imprint. The manga is published as a seinen demographic title and follows a university student named Botan Kamiina who discovers a passion for alcoholic beverages alongside her dormitory supervisor, Ibuki Tonami. The story is notable for featuring real alcoholic beverages such as sake, whiskey, and wine, and blending them with cultural references and character-driven storytelling.

An anime television series adaptation was announced in March 2025. The anime is produced by the studio Soigne, with direction by Takashi Sakuma and series scripts by Yoko Yonaiyama. Hey provided a commemorative illustration upon the announcement of the anime adaptation and expressed excitement about the project in a public statement, noting that the entire team was working with deep respect for the original work.
