Nachi Aono is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the yuri dark fantasy series I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day (Kimi ga Shinu made Koi wo Shitai). This work represents Aono's first manga to be published in English and has become their breakthrough project. The series began serialization in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine on August 18, 2018. The print run continued until December 2019, after which the series transitioned to online serialization on PixivYurihime and later on Ichijin Plus.

As of March 2025, the manga has been collected into eight tankōbon volumes published by Ichijinsha in Japan. The series is licensed for English-language release in North America by Kodansha USA, with the first volume released on February 18, 2025. An anime television series adaptation was announced on March 2, 2025, produced by ROLL2 studio. The anime is directed by Takudai Kakuchi, with Yasushi Tomoda as assistant director, Jukki Hanada handling series composition and scripts, Kyoko Yufu designing the characters, and Yukari Hashimoto composing the music. Voice actors announced for the adaptation include Rie Takahashi as Sheena Totsuki, Rina Hidaka as Mimi Kagari, Asami Seto as Lizzy Seiran, and Yui Ishikawa as Ali Maud.

The story of I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day is set in a dystopian world where an orphanage functions as a boot camp training orphaned girls to become magical child soldiers for an endless war. The narrative follows Sheena Totsuki, a fourteen-year-old girl who hates war and wishes for peace, and her roommate Mimi Kagari, an immortal child soldier who cannot die and smiles even when covered in blood. The series explores the growing relationship between these two characters against a backdrop of violence, loss, and the psychological trauma inflicted on child soldiers. Recurring themes in Aono's work include love and mortality, the preservation of innocence amidst violence, authentic LGBTQ+ representation, and the psychological impact of conflict on young people.

The series has received recognition within the manga industry. It was nominated for the 2019 Next Manga Award in the print manga category. The work has been compared to acclaimed series such as Revolutionary Girl Utena and The Promised Neverland, with particular praise for its delicate portrayal of innocence within violent circumstances and its emotional depth in character interactions. The manga has been described as advancing yuri representation through its mature handling of complex emotional themes and authentic depiction of relationships between female characters. The announcement of the anime adaptation represents a significant milestone, bringing Aono's work to a broader global audience.
