Suisei

Description
Suisei is the author of the Japanese light novel series There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her. This work represents Suisei's primary known contribution to anime and manga as an original creator. The series began as a web novel serialized on the user-generated content platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in July 2013. The story follows a man reincarnated as a demon who falls in love with a priestess from the hero's party, blending fantasy, romance, and comedy elements.

Suisei's work was subsequently adapted into a print light novel, with Futabasha publishing three volumes under its Monster Bunko imprint between October 2014 and August 2015. The light novel features illustrations by La-na, who is credited as the original character designer. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kairi began serialization on Futabasha's Gaugau Monster service in January 2021 and has been compiled into multiple volumes. The manga is credited with Suisei as the original story author.

An anime television series adaptation produced by studio Gekkou premiered in January 2026. For the anime adaptation, Suisei is credited as the original author, while the series composition and script were handled by Yukie Sugawara. The anime adaptation brought Suisei's story to a broader audience through streaming platforms. Beyond the publication facts of this single series, no verified information is available regarding Suisei's background, other original works, recurring artistic themes, or broader industry significance.
