Nowaki Fukamidori is a Japanese author and manga creator born on October 6, 1983, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is a female creator whose body of work spans both prose literature and manga.

Fukamidori began her publishing career as a novelist, with her debut work, "オーブランの少女" (The Girl of Oubran), released in October 2013 by Tokyo Sogensha. She has since authored numerous other books, including "戦場のコックたち" (Battlefield Cooks) in 2015, a work published by Chikuma Shobo in 2018, and a book released by KADOKAWA in 2020. Her short stories have also appeared in anthologies, including a piece titled "福神漬" in a 2020 Bungeishunju publication and "ゲンちゃんのこと" in a 2022 Kawade Shobo Shinsha release.

In addition to her prose work, Fukamidori is credited as the author of the manga series "Whoever Steals This Book." The series was first published in 2021, and its English-language volumes have been released by major publishers, with volumes one, two, and three available as of 2024.
