LAgun is the original creator of the fantasy story I'm a Curse Crafter, and I Don't Need an S-Rank Party!, which began as a web novel. LAgun started serializing this web novel online in January 2021 on the Kakuyomu website, and it was also posted on Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The story follows Gail Hamilton, a curse crafter who is dismissed from his S-rank party, only for his former allies to realize his cursed items possess immense power comparable to legendary artifacts.

The property was subsequently adapted into multiple formats. A manga adaptation illustrated by Nishiki Ogawa began serialization on Kodansha's YanMaga Web website in September 2021. Kodansha publishes the manga in compiled volumes under its Young Magazine KC imprint, and the English version is released simultaneously on Kodansha's K MANGA platform. As of June 2025, the manga had eleven compiled volumes and over 2.5 million copies in circulation in Japan. A light novel version, also written by LAgun and featuring illustrations by multiple artists, began publication under Hobby Japan's HJ Novels imprint in February 2022.

A television anime adaptation of the manga was announced in May 2025. The series has also been licensed for German release by Egmont Manga under the title Ich crafte die krassesten Magie-Items, aber sie sind immer verflucht.
