Yasuyuki Takase
Description
Yasuyuki Takase is a Japanese voice actor born on November 29, 1978. He is affiliated with the talent agency Amuleto, having previously been a member of Bring Up. He stands 165 cm tall and holds qualifications in calligraphy检定 and the Japan Practical Speech Proficiency Test, in addition to a standard driver's license. He is a native speaker of the Tosa dialect.
Takase's career in animation includes a range of supporting roles. His first major recurring role began in 2013 when he was cast as Kurama Shindō in the television anime series Gaist Crusher. He continued to provide the voice for this character in the subsequent video game adaptation, Gaist Crusher God. Also in 2013, he had a role in the theatrical release of Psycho-Pass: The Movie. In 2014, he voiced a character in the anime Baby Gamba and took on the role of Chī Kappa in Hanappe Family. The following year, he appeared in the series Re-Kan!, providing the voices for both Yoshida Yoshio and Akaishi.
Beyond his animation work, Takase has been active in video games. His game credits include roles in Absolute Hero: Modding Project, Ishin Renka Ryoma Gaiden for which he also served as the Tosa dialect supervisor, Omertà, and Toy Wars.
In 2015, Takase formed a comedy duo with fellow voice actor Yūichi Iguchi named Yuppo, and they competed in the M-1 Grand Prix comedy competition, though they were eliminated in the first round of preliminaries.
