Minami Shindō is a Japanese voice actress known for her work in anime, video games, and dubbing. She was born on June 3, 1994, in Chiba Prefecture. She spent part of her childhood in Singapore and trained in jazz dance from a young age, initially aspiring to be a dancer or musical actress. She decided to pursue voice acting during her first year of high school and enrolled in the Japan Narration Actor Institute to study acting. She made her debut in the industry by co-hosting the radio program AniLove! GaChaGaCha while still a student.

Shindō officially began her voice acting career in 2014, joining the talent agency VIMS. One of her first major roles was as Haru Kasukabe in the mobile game Tokyo 7th Sisters. Her first role in a television anime was a minor part in the series One Week Friends, also in 2014. She achieved her first leading role in a television anime in 2016 as Makoto Kowata in Flying Witch. For this role, she performed the series' ending theme song, Nichijō no Mahō, with co-star Eri Suzuki. In 2017, she played another prominent part as Kyōko Machi in Interviews with Monster Girls.

Throughout her career, Shindō has voiced a range of characters in numerous anime series. Her other notable television anime roles include Piruluk in Lostorage incited WIXOSS, Takkun in Chio's School Road, Asuka Iwaishi in The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!, and Lufey Pendragon in High School DxD Hero. She also voiced Rika Matsudo in the 2024 series Rinkai!. In addition to her animation work, she has built a substantial career in video games, with roles such as Lexington in Azur Lane Crosswave, Sōza Samonji in Tenka Hyakken: Zan, and Agiri Goshiki in Kirara Fantasia. Her dubbing work includes providing the Japanese voice for Robin Underwood in the animated series Lego Nexo Knights.

Beyond acting, Minami Shindō is also a singer, having performed character songs for several franchises, particularly contributing to numerous music CDs for the Tokyo 7th Sisters series as a member of the groups 777☆SISTERS and WITCH NUMBER 4. Her background in dance has been an asset in live performances for such game franchises. She holds a beginner-level certification in the Korean Language Proficiency Test. In September 2018, she was appointed as a Dōgo Onsen Tourism Goodwill Ambassador, sharing the role with her Onsen Musume character, Izumi Dōgo. On August 31, 2021, she announced her departure from her long-time agency, VIMS, to continue her career as a freelancer.
