Kanco is the professional alias of a Japanese manga artist and illustrator born on May 19 in Osaka Prefecture. The creator began professional activities in 2006 and has experience working for a game company before establishing a full-time career in manga. Kanco also previously participated in the dojin circle Otentomaru, which is now inactive.
Kanco is the original creator behind the anime Majutsu o Kiwamete Tabi ni Deta Tensei Elf, a fantasy series about an elf who reincarnates, masters magic over a century, and embarks on a journey across the world. This work is published as a serialized manga and represents one of several fantasy titles in the creator's bibliography. Other notable original manga works include the comedy series Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!, which follows a homespun comedy between a young girl and a maid who adores young girls, and Yuri Yuri Panic, a school-themed yuri comedy that began serialization in 2024. Kanco has also worked on numerous franchise adaptations, including serving as the artist for Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! Master of Garden, a spin-off of the popular The Eminence in Shadow series, as well as the comic adaptation of YOASOBI's song Ano Yume wo Nazotte titled Yume no Shizuku to Hoshi no Hana. The most significant adaptation of Kanco's work to date is Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!, which was originally serialized in the magazine Pure Yuri Anthology Hirari under the title Tsubakuma! before moving to Monthly Action under its new title. This series was adapted into a television anime in October 2018, directed by Masahiko Ota. The complete manga ran for ten volumes from 2017 to 2023.
