Sam Bauer is a German voice actor, dialogue director, and dialogue writer born on February 21, 1994, in Troisdorf, Germany. Based in Berlin, he has been active in the dubbing industry since 2017. His fascination with the human voice began in his childhood, leading him to host web radio shows during his youth, which eventually steered him toward a career in synchronization. He received vocal training from Mario Belón and further honed his skills at the Christian-Rode-Schule.

Bauer is primarily known for his work dubbing anime and live-action series into German. He provides the German voice for the protagonist Bell Cranel in the anime series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? and its spin-off Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side. In the My Hero Academia series, he voices the pro hero Rock Lock (Ken Takagi). His other notable anime roles include Tesla Lindocruz in Bleach, Benni Baro in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Kid (Archid Walter) in Knights & Magic. He has also lent his voice to characters in popular series such as Classroom of the Elite and Haikyu.

In addition to his work in anime, Bauer has dubbed roles in a wide array of live-action films and television series. These include EJ Caswell in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Dodgy Mo in Sex Education, David Archer in Riverdale, and characters in productions like Heartstopper, Arcane, and Gran Turismo.

Since 2021, Bauer has expanded his professional activities to include work as a dialogue writer and dialogue director for various film and television productions. He also shares his expertise by teaching courses in voice training and speech. Beyond character dubbing, he is a prolific voice-over artist for commercials and corporate clients, and is known as the German advertising voice for the snack brand Funny Frisch.
