Metabo Hagure is the writer of the Japanese light novel series A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires. The creator is also credited under the name Hagure Metabo across different publications.

The series began as a web novel serialized on the user-generated content service Shōsetsuka ni Narō on October 6, 2020. The story follows a noblewoman who is publicly disgraced and stripped of her position, leading her to flee her homeland and build a new life in a neighboring empire while planning her revenge. The work falls within the fantasy genre and features themes of retribution, economic maneuvering, and social ascent.

Hobby Japan acquired the series for print publication, releasing the first light novel volume on May 19, 2022, under the HJ Novels imprint with illustrations by Masami. As of August 2025, seven light novel volumes have been released. The English edition is published digitally by J-Novel Club under the title A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires. The light novel series remains ongoing.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Imo Ōno began serialization on Hobby Japan's Comic Fire service on the same day as the light novel's debut, May 19, 2022. The manga is published under the HJ Comics imprint and has been compiled into nine tankōbon volumes as of December 2025. J-Novel Club also releases the manga adaptation in English.

An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Comet is scheduled to premiere in July 2026. The anime is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya with Mitsutaka Hirota handling series composition. Remow has licensed the series for distribution.
