Matthew Yang King, also credited as Matt Yang King, is an American actor and voice actor known for his extensive work in animation, anime dubbing, and video games. Born in New York City on May 6 of an unspecified year, King trained at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University before beginning his professional career in the late 1990s. He gained early experience in live theatre, performing as part of the first national touring company of the musical Titanic.

Within the realm of anime and Japanese-influenced animation, King has built a substantial portfolio of English dub credits. He voices the character Heikurō in the 2023 Netflix anime series Onimusha, based on the Capcom video game franchise. In the long-running martial arts anime series Baki and its sequel Baki Hanma, he provides the voices for two significant characters: the skilled surgeon and fighter Kureha Shinogi, as well as Mitsunari Tokugawa, the wealthy organizer of the underground fighting arena. His work in the Baki franchise spans multiple series and seasons. Earlier anime credits include the role of Sumaru in six episodes of the original Naruto English dub. In the film side of the medium, King voiced Eian in the English dub of the 2018 anime feature Batman Ninja, which reimagines DC Comics characters in a feudal Japanese setting, and Kōketsu in the 2021 Netflix anime film Bright: Samurai Soul.

Beyond traditional anime, King has voiced characters in anime-influenced Western animation. He provided the voice of the Computer Voice in the 2016 series Transformers: Robots in Disguise. In the 2018 South Korean live-action film Illang: The Wolf Brigade, which blends live-action with anime aesthetics, he voiced the character Kim Cheol-jin for the English dub. He also voiced Captain Guerrero and Dominic in the English version of the 2021 Filipino supernatural anime series Trese.

King is perhaps most widely recognized for his voice work in video games, including the iconic role of the demon hunter Illidan Stormrage in the Warcraft series, Liu Kang and Fujin in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Kerry Eurodyne in Cyberpunk 2077, and The Atom in Injustice 2. His extensive career also includes on-screen roles in television series such as Riverdale, 24, and Supah Ninjas.

In addition to performing, King is a writer and producer. He has spoken about becoming frustrated with stereotypical casting for Asian-American actors in the early 2000s, which motivated him to begin writing roles that provide greater dimensionality. He is the winner of the CAPE/Hollywood Foreign Press Young Screenwriters Award and was a semi-finalist for the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in screenwriting. He created the steampunk web series The World of Steam and co-created the animated project Goblins Animated, in which he also voices the character Fumbles. His performance as Nicky "Tunnel Rat" Lee in G.I. Joe: Renegades earned him a nomination for a BVTVA Television Voice Acting Award.
