Takatsugu Chikamatsu

Takatsugu Chikamatsu is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on February 20, 1988, in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the theater company Engeki Shudan En. Standing at 177 cm tall and weighing 68 kg, his vocal work spans anime, film, and video games.
Chikamatsu began his training in 2008 at the Engeki Kenkyujo, the research institute attached to his theater company, and became a full member of Engeki Shudan En in 2010. His debut in animation came with a small role as a剧团团员男子 (theater troupe man) in the 2017 film The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl.
One of his most widely recognized anime roles is the Ice Cream Man in the 2023 Netflix horror anthology series Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre. This character appears in the episode adapting the story Ice Cream Bus. His other notable television anime credits include roles such as a scientist in Scarlet Nexus, a townsperson and soldier in The Heike Story, a student in BURN THE WITCH #0.8, a seventh squad member in The Executioner and Her Way of Life, and a small role in My Happy Marriage.
In theatrical anime, beyond his debut, Chikamatsu has had roles in Mary and the Witch's Flower, the short film collection Modest Heroes, the fantasy film Belle, and he voiced a staff member in the 2020 film BURN THE WITCH. His work in video games includes providing the voice for Jonathan Finn in the game Hidden Agenda. He has also performed dubbing work for international productions, including a role in the Japanese language dub of the Marvel series What If...?.
