Description
Ratana, known mononymously as Ratana Therakulsathit, is an American voice actor recognized for her work in video games and animation. Her career path to voice acting began after an initial professional life in corporate marketing. She studied marketing and advertising at Michigan State University and worked as a marketing professional and consultant for Fortune 500 clients before pursuing performance full-time. Inspired by a childhood love of cartoons and animation, she took voice acting classes, studied improv and acting, and began auditioning while maintaining her corporate job. After her division was eliminated, she chose to pursue freelance acting rather than accept another corporate position.
Ratana has voiced numerous characters across major video game franchises. She is widely known for her role as Yae Miko, the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, in the open-world action role-playing game Genshin Impact. For this performance, she drew inspiration from the character Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl, describing Yae Miko as a grown-up, mischievous puppet master who enjoys being several steps ahead of others. Her other significant roles include Leonie in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Ishtar in Fire Emblem Heroes, Lianshi in Dynasty Warriors 9, Wave in Marvel Super War, RaRa and Kiyomi in Fallout 76, Andromeda Kepler in Starfield, and Scarlet and Vesti in Goddess of Victory: Nikke. She also provided voices for Diablo IV, Smite as Amaterasu, and additional voices in Marvel's Avengers and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
