Demunyan
Description
Demunyan is a Japanese creator known for originating the manga series FX Senshi Kurumi-chan, also known as FX Fighter Kurumi-chan. Demunyan is credited as the original writer of the story, while the manga's artwork is illustrated by Daisuki Tansan. The series first began as a web comic posted on Demunyan's personal website on October 18, 2016. It later entered official serialization in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine, starting on February 5, 2021. As of May 2025, the series has been compiled into eight tankobon volumes.
The story follows a university student named Kurumi Fukuga who enters the world of foreign exchange margin trading, known as FX, with the goal of recovering twenty million yen that her late mother lost through unsuccessful trading. The narrative is described as a psychological drama that depicts the emotional highs and lows of trading, portraying the financial market as a source of intense psychological pressure rather than a typical action setting. Reviews and analyses of the work emphasize its focus on the realistic and often harsh emotional consequences of high-risk speculation, including themes of obsession, loss, and the blurred line between investing and gambling.
In terms of adaptation history, FX Senshi Kurumi-chan was announced to be receiving a television anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in 2026. The animation production is handled by studio Passione. The main staff includes director Yuki Ogawa, series composition by Kenta Ihara, character design by Kazuyuki Ueda, and music composed by Takuro Iga. The main character, Kurumi Fukuga, is voiced by voice actress Aina Suzuki. The announcement of the anime adaptation generated interest for its unique premise as a story centered on financial trading and psychological tension.
The creator Demunyan maintains a presence on social media under the handle @demk0814. The work is noted within industry discussions for its unconventional subject matter, merging educational elements about financial concepts with a thriller-like psychological narrative, distinguishing it from more traditional manga and anime genres. The series is published under Kadokawa's Media Factory imprint and is categorized with a seinen demographic.
