Junichi Gotō was a Japanese voice actor born on October 4, 1979, in Suita, Osaka Prefecture. He graduated from the voice actor training program at the Shoto Actors Gymnasium and was affiliated with the agency Mausu Promotion from 2006 until March 2010.
Gotō began his career in 2006 with a minor role in the television anime Muteki Kanban Musume. Throughout the late 2000s, he built a foundation of supporting and episodic parts in a wide range of series. His credits from this period include appearances in Moyashimon, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Lupin III: Seven Days Rhapsody, Tegami Bachi: Reverse, and a role as a male character in an episode of the long-running series Case Closed. In 2010, he voiced the character Shigi Taishiji in Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor.
Gotō is most widely recognized for his lead role as the titular character in the 2012 original net animation Inferno Cop, a production by Studio Trigger. This role stands as his most notable performance. He later reprised the character of Inferno Cop for a guest appearance in another Studio Trigger series, Space Patrol Luluco, in 2016. His other later career roles included parts in Studio Trigger's web anime Ninja Slayer From Animation and a small role as a guide in the 2018 television series SSSS.Gridman. He also voiced characters in the anime Hacka Doll the Animation.
