Nikita Kitagawa is the original creator of the Japanese web novel, light novel, and manga series Saijaku na Boku wa Kabenuke Bug de Nariagaru. The series, which is also known by the longer title Saijaku na Boku wa Kabenuke Bug de Nariagaru: Kabe o Surinuketara, Shokai Clear Hoshū o Mugen Kaishū Dekimashita, began as a web novel posted on the online publishing platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2021. Following its online success, the series was picked up for print publication. Kodansha released two light novel volumes under its Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint, with the first volume launching in June 2022 and the second in May 2024. The light novel features illustrations by Meto Sasame. In addition to the light novel, a manga adaptation illustrated by Yui Hata began serialization in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service in June 2022. The manga is published under the Shōnen Magazine Comics imprint, and as of December 2025, twelve volumes have been compiled. An anime television series adaptation has been announced. The series follows a protagonist named Henri Cleats, a weak adventurer who is dismissed from his party but discovers that his seemingly useless evasion skill has a hidden bug that allows him to phase through walls, letting him repeatedly collect one-time dungeon rewards and rise to power.
