Lori Alan is an American actress, voice artist, and comedian recognized for her extensive career in animation and video games. Born on July 18, 1966, in Potomac, Maryland, she has been active in the entertainment industry since 1990. While she is best known for her work in Western animation, she has also contributed to the anime genre through her role in the series Pokémon Concierge.

Alan began acting at the age of five, making her television debut in a commercial. She studied at Emerson College and graduated with honors from the Tisch School of the Arts. Her voice acting technique often involves improvisation to find the authentic personality of her characters.

Alan’s most prominent and long-running role is providing the voice of Pearl Krabs, the adolescent whale daughter of Mr. Krabs, on the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. She has voiced the character since the show's debut in 1999, continuing through multiple seasons and into various film adaptations such as The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. In the anime space, she voiced the character Watanabe in the 2023 Netflix series Pokémon Concierge, an English dub role that represents her direct connection to the anime medium as specified.

Beyond her work in Bikini Bottom, Alan has a diverse portfolio of notable voice roles across film and television. She voiced news anchor Diane Simmons on the animated series Family Guy and portrayed Sue Richards, the Invisible Woman, in the 1990s Fantastic Four animated series. In the world of video games, Alan is celebrated for her performance as The Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, a role that was named one of the top twenty-five greatest acting performances in video games by Complex magazine. Her achievements in voice acting have been formally recognized; she won a Voice Arts Award for outstanding body of work and outstanding national television commercial.
