Julian Cihi

Description
Julian Cihi is a Japanese-American actor who has worked extensively in stage, television, and voiceover. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1986 or 1987, Cihi moved to the United States at age 17 to attend Brown University, where he majored in theater arts and international relations. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

Cihi is known for being bilingual and bicultural, having performed in both English and Japanese. On stage, he starred as Romeo opposite Elizabeth Olsen in a 2013 Off-Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet and later made his Broadway debut in Doctor Zhivago. In Japanese theater, he played Roger in RENT and Orlando in a musical adaptation of As You Like It. His television credits include roles in Mr. Robot, Only Murders in the Building (as Tim Kono), The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (as Benjiro), and The Tick.

In anime and animation voice acting, Cihi is best known for his role in the 2023 Netflix anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, where he voiced both Kyle Katayanagi and Ken Katayanagi, the twin members of the band The Katayanagi Twins. He was cast in the role after the original live-action film actors did not reprise their parts. Cihi is also the voice of Mizuki in the video game Overwatch, appearing in a 2026 lore installment titled Cursebreaker Story Time with Julian Cihi. His other voice work includes the English dub of the Japanese film Maki in 2018.
