Michael Benyaer is a Canadian actor and voice artist born on May 25, 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been active in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s and is recognized for his extensive work in animated series, film, and video games. His early career included voice roles in English-language dubs of Japanese anime, with one of his first notable parts in this genre being the character Hikaru Gosunkugi in the series Ranma ½. This role helped establish his presence in the voice acting field, a career path he began in the late 1970s with work on the English version of Mobile Suit Gundam.

Benyaer has contributed to numerous other animated series beyond the anime genre. He is widely known as the voice of Bob, the heroic Guardian of Mainframe, in the groundbreaking Canadian CGI series ReBoot, a role he played for several years. His other significant animation roles include Hadji Singh in The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Kaz Takagi in Exosquad, and Raoul in Sitting Ducks. He has also voiced various characters in the stop-motion comedy series Robot Chicken. In the 2022 animated series Leviathan, he provided the voice for the character Zaven.
