Marcelo Tubert is an Argentine-born American actor and voice artist known for his extensive work in film, television, and animation, including a number of prominent roles in English dubs of anime and animated series. He was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1952 and moved to Los Angeles with his family at the age of seven. His introduction to performance came very early, at age three, when he stepped into a role in a production of Garcia Lorca's Yerma. He later studied acting at Los Angeles City College's Theatre Arts Department and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1983.

Tubert has contributed to some of the most beloved animated series of the 1990s, providing voices for shows such as Batman: The Animated Series, Pinky and the Brain, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and King of the Hill. He has also been part of major animated film projects, including Shrek II, Shark Tale, Over the Hedge, Madagascar 2, and Kung Fu Panda 2, where he served as an additional voice.

Within the anime genre, Tubert has several notable English dub performances. He voices the character of the Sultan in the anime adaptation of the steampunk novel series Leviathan. He is also known for playing the role of the Doctor, often referred to as "Doc," in the English version of Hellsing Ultimate. This character is a scientist and a member of the Millennium forces, serving as a major antagonist throughout the series. In addition to these roles, he voiced the character Laurent in the English version of the film Toys in the Attic.

Beyond animation and voice work, his career includes numerous guest-starring and recurring roles on live-action television. His credits include appearances on popular series such as Prison Break, NCIS, Jane the Virgin, New Girl, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, ER, Monk, George Lopez, Frasier, Seinfeld, and The Golden Girls. He also played the role of Acost Jared, the leader of Ventax II, in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. His film work includes roles in Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, Tremors 2: Aftershocks, and Postcards from the Edge. In the world of video games, Tubert has provided voice work for titles such as Age of Empires III, the BioShock series, and several games in the Spyro franchise, including Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
