Atsuko Maeda is a Japanese actress and singer who has performed voice work for several film and television projects. While she is primarily known for her career as a live-action actress and as a former central member of the idol group AKB48, her voice acting credits include roles in major theatrical releases.

Maeda’s career began in entertainment when she joined AKB48 as a first-generation student in 2005. She rose to prominence as one of the group’s most recognized members before graduating in 2012 to focus more intensively on acting. Her voice acting roles have been featured in several notable Japanese films.

In the 2014 fantasy horror film As the Gods Will, Maeda provided the voice for the Beckoning Cat, a supernatural entity that plays a key role in the story’s deadly games. That same year, she also voiced a character in the 2016 kaiju film Shin Godzilla, where she played the role of a Couple Woman, a small part in the film's ensemble cast depicting the government’s response to the Godzilla crisis.

On television, Maeda appeared in the 2017 drama series Inspector Zenigata, a live-action spin-off of the Lupin III franchise. In this series, she played the role of Natsuki Sakuraba, a young police detective who works alongside the titular Inspector Zenigata. While this is a live-action performance, her involvement in a project tied directly to a major anime franchise underscores her connection to that creative sphere. She also served as the narrator for the 25th Pikachu short film in the Pokémon anime series.

In addition to these credits, Maeda voiced a role in a live-action television drama adaptation of the classic manga Dokonjō Gaeru. Her career demonstrates a pattern of moving between live-action and voice performance, often taking roles in projects with high public visibility.
