Description
Ren Nagase is a Japanese voice actor, singer, and actor known for his work in anime and live-action productions. Born on January 23, 1999, in Tokyo, Japan, he began his entertainment career after joining the Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates (now part of Starto Entertainment) in 2011. While he is widely recognized as a member of the popular boy band King & Prince, he has also established a presence in the field of voice acting for animated films.
Nagase's career as a voice actor includes several notable roles in major anime feature films. In 2023, he voiced the character Sonya in Doraemon the Movie 2023: Nobita's Sky Utopia, the forty-second film in the long-running Doraemon franchise. Sonya is a black cat robot who guides the main characters through the utopian land of Paradapia. In 2024, Nagase took on the lead role of Aki Onoda in the original anime film Fureru. Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada, the film follows three childhood friends living together in Tokyo. Nagase's character Aki is described as a quiet twenty-year-old who works part-time at a bar, tends to act before speaking, but is deeply caring toward his friends.
