His career includes both on-screen performances in live-action productions and voice work for animated features, though he is primarily recognized for his work in television dramas and films. In the field of anime voice acting, Kamakura is known for his role as the Herring Worker in the series Golden Kamuy -The Hunt of Prisoners in Hokkaido-. He also provided voice work for the 2024 film Saint Young Men: The Movie ~Holy Men vs Demon Army~, which is directed by福田雄一 (Yūichi Fukuda).
