Chieko Ichikawa is a Japanese actress and voice actor born on October 2, 1929, in Osaka Prefecture. Her career in performance began with training at the Bungakuza附属演劇研究所 and work with companies such as Gekidan Higashigei and Toho Modern Theatre. She is a member of the talent association Haiyu Kyoei. Her skills include traditional Japanese dance, the Osaka and Kyoto dialects, and classical and Latin vocal music.

Ichikawa’s voice acting career includes a range of roles in anime and live-action films. In the anime television series NieA_7 from 2000, she provides the voice of Momo Enoshima, a supporting character. She also appears in the classic anime series Perrine Monogatari as the voice of the Marquise Caroline. Beyond animation, she is known for her role in the live-action film adaptations of the manga Gantz. She portrays Kayo Sugimoto in both Gantz from 2010 and its sequel Gantz: Perfect Answer from 2011. Her other live-action film appearances include roles in Sasameyuki, where she played Itakura's mother, and Tora-san Plays Daddy.

In addition to her film and television work, Ichikawa has a background in theater, having performed a lead role in the stage production Shiroi Ga. Her extensive career also includes numerous appearances in Japanese television dramas, with credits ranging from the late 1950s to the 2010s. Notable television drama roles include recurring parts in Ai no Arashi, Nagi no Fuukei, and Kekkon Shinai.
