Description
Yukimi Takeuchi is a Japanese actress, voice actor, and former television announcer. She was born on June 5, 1980, in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. A graduate of Nanzan University with a degree in English literature, she initially pursued a career in broadcasting. After moving to Tokyo with the goal of becoming an announcer, she joined Aomori Television (ATV) in 2003, where she served as a main host and a digital terrestrial broadcasting promotion ambassador. She left Aomori Television in March 2007 and began working for WOWOW the following April. At WOWOW, she hosted coverage of international sports including La Liga football, Wimbledon, and the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament. After her contract with WOWOW concluded in May 2010, she transitioned into acting and voice work, studying drama under voice actor and stage director Norio Wakamoto. She affiliated with the talent agency OfficePAC in 2013, became a freelancer in March 2019, and joined her current agency, Minori Production, in August 2019.

Takeuchi brings a background in news broadcasting to many of her voice roles, frequently portraying announcers and newscasters across various anime projects. Notable examples of this typecasting include her role as a female newscaster in the 2014 theatrical film Tiger & Bunny: The Rising and as a newscaster in the 2019 television special Lupin III: Goodbye Partner. Additional voice credits in animation include Bianca in the 2015 series Lupin III Part IV, airport staff and an announcer in the 2018 Netflix series Devilman Crybaby, an announcer in the 2018 theatrical film Penguin Highway, Melia in the 2017 series Garo: Vanishing Line, Eleanor White in the 2018 Netflix series Hero Mask, and a female host in the 2020 Netflix series Japan Sinks 2020.

Beyond animation, her voice acting career includes substantial work in Japanese dubbing for international films, television series, and video games. Her dubbing credits include the role of Dorothy Turner in the Apple TV+ series Servant, Ms. Jen in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Emily in the Netflix series The Survivor, and roles in Korean dramas such as My Golden Life. In the video game industry, she has contributed additional voices to major titles including Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, as well as providing the tutorial voice for the 2020 game Resident Evil: Resistance.

In terms of industry collaborations, the voice actor she has worked alongside most frequently is Hiroshi Shirokuma, with whom she has recorded dialogue for multiple projects.
