Gregg Rainwater is an American actor known for his work in both live-action and animation. He was born on February 27, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, and describes himself as being of Osage, Cherokee, Irish, and Filipino descent.

Rainwater is perhaps best known for his live-action portrayal of Sergeant Thunder Hawk in the Fighter, an adaptation of the popular video game series. In this role, he played a sergeant in the Allied Nations forces who is a close ally of Colonel Guile.

Beyond his live-action work, Rainwater has an extensive career as a voice actor in animated series and films. One of his notable voice roles was in the animated series Gargoyles, where he voiced the characters Coyote the Trickster, Natsilane, and a young Peter Maza across two episodes from 1995 to 1996. He also contributed his voice to the animated film Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World as additional voices.

In the realm of superhero animation, Rainwater voiced the character Long Shadow in an episode of Justice League Unlimited titled Ultimatum. He later reprised a version of this character, Tye Longshadow, also known as Apache Chief, in the series Young Justice, appearing in three episodes between 2012 and 2013. His other voice credits include the role of Jake McDonald in the anime film 3x3 Eyes: Legend of the Divine Demon, Jake Nez in three episodes of Max Steel, and a guest role as Bob and Andy on the animated series Pepper Ann.

In addition to his acting career, Rainwater has worked behind the scenes in television production. He served as an art director for three seasons on the show America’s Got Talent. In April 2010, he worked as an art director for the special American Idol Gives Back, a role for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Rainwater is also a singer and has toured in England with the Warren Youth Chorale.
