Kavka Shishido, born Yuna Shishido on June 23, 1985, in Mexico City, is a Japanese entertainer whose career spans music, live-action acting, and voice acting for anime and film. Her stage name, Kavka, is derived from the Czech word for jackdaw, a choice reportedly inspired by her preference for wearing black clothing. Her multicultural upbringing includes early childhood in Mexico, elementary school in Japan, and a year of adolescence in Argentina before returning to Japan. Standing at 175 cm, she initially gained prominence as a musician, notably as a drummer and vocalist who performed with the all-female band The News before launching a solo career in 2012. This background in rhythm and performance has informed her transition into acting, where she has taken on diverse roles in television dramas such as Hiyokko and Akira Hamura: The World’s Most Unfortunate Detective, as well as films.

She also takes on the role of Ramona Takigawa in the live-action film adaptation of Trillion Game, based on the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Ryoichi Ikegami. In this film, Ramona is a mysterious and cool female dealer who serves as a close aide to a powerful casino king, monitoring the protagonists as they attempt to build a trillion-dollar business. The film was released in Japanese theaters in February 2025. Additional voice work includes a role in the animated film Purehearted, also released in 2025.
