Nanaka Tomita is a Japanese performer whose work spans both the idol and acting fields, with her most recognized role in the Love Live! franchise. Born on July 17, 2000, in Kagoshima Prefecture, she began her journey in entertainment at a very young age, starting training at a local talent agency when she was three years old. Before achieving national recognition, she gained experience as a member of a local idol group named Seven Colors in her native Kagoshima Prefecture, where she was a fourth-generation member and used the catchphrase "1,2,3,4,5,6, NANA." She later graduated from Kagoshima Seikyo High School and went on to study at Yoyogi Animation Academy.

Tomita's professional career took a significant turn when she became a member of the idol group ≠ME (pronounced "Not Equal Me"), which is the sister group of =LOVE. Both groups are produced by former HKT48 member and television personality Rino Sashihara. She was introduced as part of ≠ME in February 2019 and quickly rose to prominence within the group, being chosen as the center performer for their debut single. School Idol Musical the DRAMA, which premiered in November 2024. This drama is a unique entry in the Love Live! franchise, as it is a live-action adaptation based on the stage musical School Idol Musical, which tells an original story set in rival schools in Hyogo and Osaka. In this production, her character, Anzu Takizawa, is one of the two central protagonists, and Tomita was quoted as saying she felt a personal connection to the role, hoping her performance would convey courage and hope to the audience.

In addition to her work in the Love Live! drama, Tomita has appeared on stage. In 2022, she performed in a stage play adaptation of the classic magical girl anime Ojamajo Doremi, where she played the lead role of Doremi Harukaze. She also had a minor role as a store clerk in a television drama titled Koi ni Mudaguchi in 2022.
