Nanami Asai is a Japanese actress, stage performer, and voice actress born on May 20, 2000, in Kanagawa, Japan. She is affiliated with the agency StarRise, which is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Music Live.

Asai began her entertainment career as a member of the idol group AKB48, where she was introduced as a 16th generation trainee in December 2016. She was later promoted to a full member of Team 4 and eventually transferred to Team B, assuming the role of captain. She graduated from AKB48 in late January 2024 and joined StarRise the following April.

Her performance career spans both stage and screen. In 2022, she portrayed the character Uehara Jun in a stage adaptation of the series Iwamore: Rock Climbing Girls. She is most widely recognized for her role as Yuzuha Sumeragi in the Love Live! School Idol Musical franchise. She originated this role in the stage musical that began performances in December 2022, including runs in Tokyo and Osaka through 2025. She subsequently reprised the same character for the live-action television drama adaptation, Love Live! School Idol Musical the Drama, which premiered in November 2024. This drama marked the first live-action series in the Love Live! franchise.

A notable achievement in her career occurred in December 2023, when she performed as a guest at the "Ijigen Fes Idolmaster Tanjou Love Live! Utagassen" event at the Tokyo Dome as part of the Love Live! School Idol Musical cast. Her reported hobbies include singing, dancing, and music appreciation.
