Mitsutoshi Shundō was born on March 21, 1974 in Tokyo, Japan. He is a Japanese actor and voice actor with a career spanning back to 1994, and is represented by the Seinenza Theater Company. While he has had a diverse career across film, television, and stage, Shundō is perhaps most widely recognized for his work in tokusatsu franchises, particularly his dual roles as the villainous Shin'ya Mizorogi in Ultraman Nexus and the complex leader Makoto Shido throughout the Kamen Rider Amazons series.

In the world of anime, Shundō has built a solid portfolio of supporting roles in major productions. He appears in the 2004 anime film Devilman, where he voices the character Nagata. His voice acting credits also include roles in several high-profile series. He is featured in Sword Art Online as a swordfighter, and in Your Lie in April as a judge.
