She was also a student at Cawthra Park Secondary School, an arts high school where she specialized in vocal music. In addition to acting, she is a classically trained singer and has training in various styles of dance as well as playing the guitar.
In voice acting, Kanashiro is best known for her work in the Bakugan franchise. She provides the voice for Mia Ono in the 2023 anime television series Bakugan, which is the second reboot of the franchise. The series is produced by Spin Master Entertainment and animated by TMS Entertainment. Her character, Mia Ono, is one of the main characters and a member of the friend group at the center of the story, alongside the characters Dan Kouzo and Griffin Tessly. Kanashiro voiced this role for all twenty-six episodes of the series. For the English-language original production, she provides the voice for Mia Ono.
Other voice acting credits include the role of Kameko in the 2025 animated series Mermicorno: Starfall, as well as the character Olivia in the 2024 short film The Last Timbit. Her work across these projects also includes a recurring collaboration with voice actors Mike Taylor and Julia Pulo, who co-star alongside her as Dan Kouzo and Juno Reyes, respectively, in Bakugan.
