Mitsuko Kusabue is a Japanese actress and voice actor born on October 22, 1933 in Yokohama, Japan. Her career has spanned many decades, and while she is widely known for her extensive work in film and television, she has also taken on several notable roles in animation and voice dubbing.

In the field of anime voice acting, Kusabue is known for the role of Iyo in the 1978 film The Phoenix: Chapter of Dawn, an adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's manga. She also voiced the character Chiharu Yaguchi in the 2023 series Jigen Daisuke. Beyond these credits, her voice acting work includes providing the Japanese dub for foreign media. She voiced the character of Miss Marple, as played by Geraldine McEwan, in the second and third seasons of the television series Agatha Christie's Marple. She also appeared as a voice actor in the anime series Agatha Christie no Meitantei Poirot to Marple and Yuki no Joō – The Snow Queen.

Kusabue's career in performance began in the early 1950s when she joined the Shochiku Opera Company after leaving high school. She made her film debut as an actress in 1953 and quickly gained popularity, partly due to the success of her song Red Love Song from the film Spring Dance. Over the following decades, she became a prolific actress in both film and theater, earning critical recognition including a Television Grand Prix Award for individual excellence in 1974 and later receiving nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress at the Japan Academy Film Prize. Her theater work has included leading roles in musicals such as Chicago and La Cage aux Folles.
