Deok-hee Choi is a South Korean voice actress known for her extensive work in dubbing anime, films, and television series. She began her voice acting career in the mid-1990s, initially taking on supporting roles before gaining widespread recognition for her leading performances. Her breakthrough came in January 1997 when she voiced Lina Inverse in the SBS broadcast of the anime series Slayers. Later that same year, she achieved significant popularity by taking on the title role of Sailor Moon in the KBS dub of the series.

Choi Deok-hee’s career has included voicing a wide range of characters, from female protagonists to male leads. Notable early roles include Han Ji-woo in Pokemon and the lead in Speed King Lightning. In 2003, she moved to Canada, leading to a long hiatus from professional voice acting. She returned to the industry in December 2014 after an eleven-year break. Upon her return, she resumed work on various projects, including dubbing for animated series, films, and video games.

Throughout her career, Choi Deok-hee has lent her voice to many significant roles. She played Maddie Wachowski in the Korean-language dubs of the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog films, including the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog, the 2022 sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and the 2024 series Knuckles. Her other voice credits include Otohime in the Korean dub of One Piece, a role in Kemono Friends, and the character Audrey Rocio Ramirez in the Korean dub of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. She has also dubbed Satsuki Kusakabe in My Neighbor Totoro.

Among her notable achievements, Choi Deok-hee received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards in October 2021. She also won the grand prize in the female category at the KBS Radio Drama Awards in 2015. Her career has been marked by a successful comeback after more than a decade away from the industry, demonstrating her enduring skill and popularity as a voice performer.
