Yukio Itō

Yukio Itō is a Japanese actor born on December 16, 1955, in Tokyo, Japan. He is known for his extensive work within the Super Sentai franchise, where he is recognized for both live-action and voice roles.

Itō is most famously associated with the role of Kenji Asuka, also known as Midoranger, in the long-running series Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. He first appeared as the character in the original 1975 television series, performing in 84 episodes, and continued to portray Kenji Asuka in several subsequent film adaptations, including Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Blue Fortress (1975), Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Red Death Match (1976), Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Volcano's Last Big Eruption (1976), and Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Bomb Hurricane! (1976). He later voiced the same character of Midoranger in the 1978 crossover film J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai vs. Gorenger.

Beyond his defining role in Gorenger, Itō portrayed Kensaku Shiraishi, also known as Battle Cossack, in the 1979 series Battle Fever J, appearing in all 52 episodes of the show as well as its corresponding film, Battle Fever J: The Movie. His other notable work includes a role in the 1974 series Ultraman Leo, where he played Takeshi Nomura across 51 episodes. Later in his career, he appeared in the 2006 production Cho Ninja Tai Inazuma as Tojiro or Tōrōki.
