Nazuna Miki is a Taiwanese-born Japanese light novel author known for creating numerous fantasy and isekai series that have been adapted into manga and anime. Miki was born in Taipei City, Taiwan, in the 1980s to Taiwanese parents. Initially aspiring to become a voice actor in Japan, Miki studied Japanese for four years before moving to Japan to attend university. He graduated from the Shibaura Institute of Technology with a degree in electronic information engineering and achieved a near-perfect score on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1. His pen name is derived from the voice actress Nana Mizuki, with the name rearranged as an anagram.

Miki began writing light novels while continuing to pursue his interest in the entertainment industry. He submitted works to various newcomer awards for nine years starting in 2004, studying Japanese sentence structure and storytelling throughout this period. His debut work was published by Shueisha's Super Dash Bunko imprint in 2013. However, his early commercially published novels sold poorly, leading to a period without ongoing work. He then turned to the user-generated novel website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, where he began serializing web novels directly for readers. This approach proved successful, leading to multiple series being picked up for print publication.

Miki has written numerous light novel series that have spawned manga adaptations. My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 began serialization as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2017 and was later acquired by Kodansha for print publication starting August 2017. A manga adaptation illustrated by Mawata began in May 2018, and an anime television series produced by Maho Film aired from July to September 2023. I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic started as a web novel in September 2019, with TO Books publishing the light novel from February 2020. An anime adaptation produced by Studio Deen and Marvy Jack aired from January to March 2025. Noble Reincarnation: Born Blessed, So I'll Obtain Ultimate Power began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2019, with SB Creative publishing the light novel under its GA Novel imprint from September 2019. An anime television series adaptation premiered in January 2026.

Miki is also credited as the original creator for the manga Rōgai Level, which ended serialization in January 2025, and Died a Slave, Reborn a Noble: Becoming the Strongest With a Daughter Who's Older Than Me, which concluded in June 2023. Other notable works include Mukuwarenakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiai Sareru Ue ni and the manga adaptation of My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1.

Miki's works typically feature protagonists who possess overwhelming abilities or unique advantages despite apparent limitations, often within harem or power fantasy frameworks. He has stated a personal preference for harem narratives. His career reflects a transition from traditional publishing to web novel platforms, where direct reader engagement enabled sustained success and eventual multimedia adaptations. He maintains a high publishing output, with multiple series running concurrently across different publishers and adaptation formats.
